eSlate Voting Equipment Print

The eSlate (DRE) voting equipment that was introduced in November 2005 has been a major success. We have used the new eSlate equipment in every election since its introduction, and it has been overwhelmingly received by our voters. No computer experience is necessary to vote on the system and voters of all age have found it very easy to use.

The system is ADA accessible with special interfaces for the physically challenged and is equipped with an audio ballot reader to help the visually impaired voters, and curbside voting can also be accommodated. Trained assistants will be available to help you at each Polling location and printed instructions will also be readily available.

We have several demonstrations of the new system you can view by clicking on any of the links below. I hope you will take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the system and its features.

Sincerely,

Joyce A. Cowan
Elections Administrator/Voter Registrar
